So, if that’s you, we have a simple guide on how to play Angry Birds to help get you started on this excellent and very addictive game.

Angry Birds Types

Of course, this game is all about the birds. When you complete certain levels of achievement, you’ll get different types of birds and each of these is going to have its own particular advantage.

Red Bird

You begin the game with the Red bird. This is the first bird that is automatically unlocked as you begin game play and it offers the basic function in that it destroys the pigs.

Blue Bird

When you reach level 10 of World one, you’ll unlock the Blue bird. This bird splits into three different birds. You don’t have to wait another ten levels to get the next bird, the Yellow bird- this happens at level 16 in World one. The Yellow bird in Angry Birds has double the speed of the other birds. As you move on through the levels, another bird you will get is the Black bird in level 5 of World 2. This bird explodes and is very useful for destroying the structures that the pigs hide in and on.

White Bird

Moving on, the next bird you of note is the White bird. This one is obtained in level 2 of World 2. This bird produces eggs that you can drop and these will then explode, destroying pigs or parts of the structures. The Birds of Boomerang are obtained by World 6, level 5. These birds parent any type of bomb and also have pattern pebbles that have a great advantage. Then, there is the Birds Big Brother, which also parent any type of bomb, but are much more destructive than other birds.

Gameplay on How to Play Angry Birds

Playing the game is simple. You have a slingshot and with this, you set out to destroy all of the egg stealing evil pigs within each level. The kicker is, you only have a certain set number of birds within each level to do this- and of course, if you finish out the level with birds left over, you get bonus points for that. If you finish the level out and you have a low score, you’ll get one star, scoring a mid-level score will get two scores, and scoring high will get you three.

As you go through the different worlds and levels in them, you’ll notice that the structures the pigs sit on, as well as the pigs themselves change. Some of the structures are a little harder to get around to get the pigs, some are easier. The pigs themselves are powered according to size, but also wear certain gear that will make them more difficult to destroy. As you take out each pig in the level you may find that it takes a little creativity to destroy some, and this is where the different types of birds will come in, to help you along the way.
